2.02.2020 Lucas + Macey | Springfield IL

We kicked our 2020 wedding season off in style with Macey & Lucas’ gorgeous winter wedding.  Downtown Springfield provided the perfect backdrop for portraits on this chilly February day.  Cafe lights twinkled near the Old Capitol creating beautiful warm bokeh.

The ceremony and reception was held at the Artisan’s Building at the Illinois State Fairgrounds.  The venue was accented with colorful uplighting and gorgeous chandeliers.  Macey and her young son Nash were escorted down the aisle by her father.  Within moments of walking down the aisle Nash was peacefully asleep in his grandmother’s arms.

After the vows the bridal party loaded the party bus for a celebratory lap. The reception was kicked off with warm toasts and special song from Macey’s Matrons of Honor.  Dancing commenced and Macey & her dad stole the show with a surprise choreographed number.  The evening was capped off with a dance auction.  Dances with the couple were auctioned off by the bride’s Grandfather and Uncle, both auctioneers.  What a fantastic way to start our wedding season!  Congratulations Macey & Lucas, we wish you nothing but the best!
