3.23.2019 Jared + Haley | Summum IL

Wedding season is well under way for us.  We are entrenched with wedding details as we meet and prepare with all of our spring brides.  One moment stands out for me.  I remember sitting down with Haley discussing the details of her and Jared’s big day.  She described her love for her family, her faith and her fiancé. When asked what was most important about her photos she said “We love to laugh”. “We aren’t super romantic, just two kids who grew up together”.

Haley and Jared’s March wedding was rich with sentimental touches and rural charm.  They were married at the Summum Christian Church in Summum, Illinois in same little white country church where her mother walked down the aisle years ago.  She wore a beautiful lace Stella York gown and walked down the aisle to “A Thousand Years” a nod to her Step-mother on her wedding day. Everything about this wedding was so wonderfully personal, from the heirloom veil and garter to the custom embossed belt the bride wore. Each detail was carefully chosen and very personal.

Haley and Jared exchanged handwritten vows that were wonderfully humorous and personal.  They were married in a very special ceremony officiated by her Grandfather.  My favorite moment was when they watched a special slideshow for the first time created by the bride’s sister.  It was wonderful to watch the range of emotions from them as well as their guests as they watched moments from their childhood and relationship faded in and out on the screen.  Their reception was held at the Virginia in which was packed with friends and family Rushville. For being “just two kids who grew up together” it was all pretty romantic if you ask us!  Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Lascelles.  We wish you a lifetime of happiness!
