Amber & Kristy knew what they were doing when they planned this wedding. Aside from having impeccable style, we especially loved their choice to get ready in the same space. It was fun to watch them peek in on each other’s progress through hair, makeup and all the other little tasks in preparation for their nuptials. They were surrounded by talented friends and loving family from start to finish all of which seemed to put their own special touch on their big day.

We were able to shoot some of their bridal portraits in the beautiful Angad Art Hotel where Amber’s brother-in-law, Jason, had created an amazing art installation. They had expressed an interest in creative portraits with more of an editorial feel. I am in love with the portraits taken in the blue room. The richness of blue color combined with their glittering gowns and perfect details made for beautiful portraits.

Their ceremony and reception was held at the Piper Palm House at Tower Grove Park. The ceremony was held on outdoors on the plaza outside the conservatory. It was a beautiful space surrounded by towering palm trees and lily ponds lush with flora and fauna. The ceremony was very personal with poetry readings by close friends and mentors. They carried spring bouquet’s laced with delicate wildflowers in soft colors. Inside the conservatory floor to ceiling windows and a soaring ceiling fixed with stained glass made for a unique setting that was both glamorous and organic. The tables were candle lit covered by crisp navy linens and gold accents.

The bride’s were toasted with kindness and admiration by family and friends before dancing their first dance and taking a celebratory shot in honor of Kristy’s grandfather. Amber & Kristy’s wedding day was wonderfully personal and fabulously unique in all the right ways. Congratulations to you both! We wish you nothing but the very best in your days together.
